Little Air Book by Lit
‘Little Air Book’ is an artist's book developed from Lit's ongoing project ‘Everyday Resistance’. Inspired by the Cantonese concept of siu hei book (小器簿), a notebook for recording accumulated grievances and unspoken slights, it brings together wearable inventions, performative photographs, and notes that document subtle acts of adaptation in everyday life.
Part archive and part notebook, the book explores how the body learns to adjust without yielding. Each entry traces a quiet recalibration in response to social expectations, domestic labour, and shifting cultural conditions, revealing resilience through gestures that often go unnoticed. Gathering what Lit cannot fully express or easily let go, ‘Little Air Book’ proposes everyday adaptation as a subtle yet persistent form of resistance.
Wing-Hung Lit (she/her) is a visual artist based between London and Hong Kong. Working across sculpture, installation, textiles, and performative photography, her practice explores displacement, precarity, care, and bodily resilience. Through material-led and site-responsive approaches, she examines how bodies inhabit and adapt to domestic and provisional spaces shaped by mobility, ownership, and control.
Lit received a BA in Fine Art (Sculpture) from RMIT University in 2019 and an MFA in Arts & Humanities from the Royal College of Art, London, in 2026. Her work has been exhibited and developed through international exhibitions and residencies across Hong Kong, Japan, Germany, Portugal, Canada, and the United States. Alongside her artistic practice, she works in art direction, scenography, and Cheongsam making, extending her engagement with material knowledge, craftsmanship, and spatial composition.
